Wildfire Intelligence & Mapping

Round-the-clock support for fire crews, tribal partners, agencies, and incident command teams

.

Numu was founded by Kolton Schooley (Comanche Nation) and Elijah Polsky to modernize wildfire operations and protect the land through responsible, innovative technology. With years of combined experience in wildland fire, including service on Hotshot crews, engines, and aviation support, our team understands the fireline, the risks, and the critical role real-time intelligence plays in protecting both people and ecosystems.

Before launching Numu, Elijah founded Rogue Reconnaissance, one of the early pioneers in bringing unmanned aircraft systems to wildfire operations. Kolton and Elijah saw the same need from two perspectives — a deep respect for the land and lived experience witnessing moments where drone-based data could have saved time, resources, and firefighter exposure. That vision evolved into Numu: a Native-owned project combining Indigenous stewardship values, wildland firefighting background, and cutting-edge remote sensing technology.

Accurate. Effective.
