Numu Geo was founded by Kolton Schooley, a member of the Comanche Nation, with a mission to protect and restore Native lands through the integration of advanced technology and traditional knowledge. Kolton’s passion for nature began in the Florida Everglades, where he spent much of his childhood camping, hunting, fishing, and exploring the remarkable nature at his fingertips.

Kolton has over two decades of experience in business leadership. He cut his teeth in West Coast restaurant management, leading the restaurants he managed to nationwide recognition. His most recent endeavor brought him to California, where he was a key player in expanding a local restaurant group into a multimillion-dollar restaurant empire on California’s Central Coast. After over two decades in the industry, Kolton decided to change course and dedicate his professional life to one of his personal passions, protecting and conserving the land and nature his people have been living on since time immemorial.

Numu is the convergence of Kolton’s business acumen and his dedication to environmental protection. As a Native-owned business, Numu operates at the intersection of technology, ecology, and cultural stewardship and helps to bridge the gap between Indigenous conservation practices and cutting-edge environmental tools, serving communities, agencies, and tribes across the country.
